Date as printed
NETWORK EAST - [day clipped]/9/87
Date note
The sheet carries no date of its own; the only date is for the Network East appearance, printed with the day clipped at the left edge and ending “/9/87” (September 1987 on UK day/month order), so by its own wording the sheet was written on or after that appearance.

A one-page typed biography issued as band publicity, with a vertical New English logo down the right-hand edge. It says the two members grew up in Fulham, first met aged eight at a mass football match in Normand Park, and describes a later meeting at a Redskins gig at The King’s Head, in a sentence partly covered by a black bar. It claims the band had been together about eight months and had already made its first national television appearance on Network East, giving a date that ends “/9/87” with the day clipped by the scan edge. The lyrics are described as honest stories of teenage love in South West 6. This is the band’s own promotional wording, not independent coverage, and the sheet carries no date of its own.

Songs to hum now and forever!

Slogan near the end of the band’s own publicity text.
