This collection brings together surviving documents and source-backed accounts of The New English. Contemporary reviews, interviews, publicity and later recollections are identified so that readers can see what each item adds to the story.
Some dates and credits remain open to correction. Source notes explain those specific questions, and the research directory provides the same eligible information in readable text and structured data.
How it is edited
Statements are linked to their sources, and those that rest only on a later account or on band publicity are labelled as such. Where sources disagree, both readings are shown and neither is chosen. Missing information is left as a gap rather than filled.
What this archive is
It is a curated archive, not an independent encyclopedia. It was assembled from documents supplied to it, catalogue entries and later accounts, and it does not claim independent reporting.
Images, credits and rights
The scans were supplied to this archive for this site. The photographer or publisher of most items is not recorded, and each object page says so instead of guessing. Showing an item here does not grant a licence to reuse it, and crawler access to this site is not a licence either.
Private addresses and personal telephone numbers printed on some originals are masked on the web copies, a small number of other passages are covered for now, and each affected page says so. The black bars on some pages are on the originals. No lyrics are reproduced. Review and interview text is summarised, with short attributed excerpts only.
